FAQ’S
What is provided in the workshop?
Please expect a student-to-teacher ratio better than 2:1
All equipment/supplies (pruners, gloves, floral tape, wire, etc.)
All materials (these are included for a fee; see below)
Your own workspace
Do I need to bring my own planter?
Yes, please bring your own planters; we do not have any for sale at the workshop.
How many planters can I do?
This is entirely up to you! An ambitious night might include three large planters. An easier, more social night might include one to two. Our team will work with you to complete your goals, whether ambitious or more relaxed!
What are the costs?
There is the class fee ($25.00), the fee for materials selected for your planter (last year, the range was $35 to $150), and a donation of $50 to NAYS if you’d like us to deliver your planters after completion.
* Please note, once created, these planters are often difficult to transport in smaller cars and SUVs. We are happy for you to decide how to get your planter home the night of the workshop.
What do I bring?
Bring your planters (it’s okay to bring them empty; we will have loam/compost ready to fill them), your friends, and BYOB if you’d like to toast the evening.
What should I wear?
This will be a class where you get dirty! Wear something warm and casual.
