WHAT IS HORTICULTURAL Management?
It's a careful review of your plant material every spring to advise you and help you set priorities and goals for the season and to bring your attention to problems in the garden. Horticultural Management is a customizable service that includes weeding, scratching of mulch, hand pruning, insect and disease scouting, plant diagnostics, plant division, removal,
and replacement, seasonal color . . . to name a few. You choose the services, and we will perform the tasks!
Visits are monthly, bimonthly, seasonal, or annual depending on your goals and budget.

Our Director of Horticulture, Frank Brown, is a Massachusetts Certified Arborist (MCA) and Massachusetts Certified Landscape Professional (MCLP) and brings decades of experience to our team. He is a master pruner and is in charge of training all of our staff in proper pruning practices. Our team of Horticultural Technicians are outstanding, and all are pursuing higher degrees and certifications in our field. We promote and advocate the advancement of our staffs further education by attending certification courses through Amherst at UMass, attending educational presentations through MNLA, surrounding botanical gardens and symposiums. We are proud to say we have recent graduates of Invasive Species and Green School. This passion of advancement through continuing education is shared by all our staff and we plan on building our knowledge through our Hort Program. Pruning and proper horticultural practices is their passion! They love helping customers enjoy their outdoor spaces and get the most out of their gardens.
